Rev. Lee de León is the founder and CEO of Templo Calvario Community Development Corporation. Templo Calvario CDC is a faith-based non-profit corporation established by Templo Calvario, which is recognized as the largest Latino church in America. Templo Calvario CDC serves families in need by partnering with key stakeholders and working strategically in the mobilization of vital resources in Economic Development, Education, Family & Children Services, and Relief Work. Under Rev. de León’s leadership, the CDC has received national recognition by various organizations, including the Annie Casey Foundation, Wheaton College, the Center for Faith-based and Community Initiatives at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and others. Rev. de León has been actively involved in ministry to communities in need for over 25 years. He has served as a pastor, church planter, non-profit director, and founder of several humanitarian organizations and partnerships. Rev. de León received his education at California Baptist University, and at Azusa Pacific University’s C.P. Haggard School of Theology. Rev. de León has been serving on the Santa Ana WIB since July 2004. He decided to join the Board due to his interest in workforce and economic development issues. Through his passion to help others and his involvement with the local community, Rev. de Leon has become an important asset to the city of Santa Ana and its residents.
